French Costumes

Our French costumes are akin to those from Brittany; black with an apron and lace headdress.

Most Breton women wore black and some crafted highly elaborate lace headdresses typical of their village.

As with other countries, France has many different costumes and they seem to get more colourful as you travel south.

In the south the Basque region borders Spain and the French Basque costume is much the same.
