Different regions of Croatia have their own distinct costumes - those of Posavina with the typical red geometrical embroidery
are shown here.
The two Posavinan costumes we have were given to us by the Zivko Firfov Balkan dance group. Each costume comprises a white
blouse with heavily embroidered sleeves; a full length pleated skirt embroidered above the hemline and a pleated, embroidered apron.
Coral beads are usually worn and hair should be in two plaits.
