The Parade of Nations with its colour and excitement was the first chance
to see many of the other performers in their traditional costumes.
The Competitor's Club was the scene for informal meetings with other performers. Rehearsals, refreshments and the chance to see other national costumes in detail.
The day of the competition was the best of all. Wearing their 18th century costumes, the girls danced three English dances, and then relaxed and watched the show.
Luckily we did have some time to enjoy Llangollen and its surrounding area. On the way home, some of us had time to enjoy the countryside north of Winchester.
