The Bexhill international folk dance group was begun in September 1993. It is a small and friendly international folk dancing club that meets socially to enjoy dance and music from around the world. We teach all the dances before doing them. Most of them are danced in lines and circles so there is no need to bring a partner

We have a number of teachers each with differing interests and expertise. Jack and Midge Carter and Beryl Hartley teach English dancing whilst Rowena Martin teaches Balkan, Israeli, Armenian and Russian dances. Heather Edwards rounds this off with general international - dances from around the world to broaden everyones experiences (Chinese, Japanese, Tahitian...) as well as couples dances.
